The emergence of multidrug-resistant Salmonella genomic island 1 (SGI1) and Proteus genomic island (PGI) bearing P. mirabilis present a serious threat to public health. In this study, we screened 288 Proteus isolates recovered from seven provinces in China. Fourteen strains (4.9%) all belonged to P. mirabilis were positive for SGI1/PGI2, including twelve from clinical samples (5.3%) and two from food (3.3%). A Blastn search against GenBank and phylogenetic analyses identified eight different SGI1 variants and one PGI2 variant from the fourteen SGI1/PGI2 variants. All SGI1 variants shared a common backbone and harbored different resistance gene(s), except the sul1 gene at its multidrug-resistant (MDR) region. Among the variants, three novel SGI1 variants, designated as SGI1-PmCA11, SGI1-PmCA14 and SGI1-PmCA46, contained different gene cassettes, which were similar to sequences in plasmids or class 1 integrons of Klebsiella pneumoniae, P. mirabilis, Escherichia coli and Salmonella. Moreover, one novel PGI2, designated as PGI2-PmCA72, had an identical gene cassette to the first class 1 integron from PGI2 (GenBank accession no. MG201402.1) in P. mirabilis, but varied due to missing, replaced, inserted and inverted gene clusters. The four novel SGI1/PGI2 variants contained the cmlA5, dfrA14, blaOXA-10, aadA15, blaOXA-1, catB3 and dfrA16 resistance genes, which have never been reported in SGI1/PGI2 variants. Phenotypically, all fourteen SGI1/PGI2-containing strains showed multidrug resistance. All except four strains were resistant to the first, or the second and/or-third generation cephalosporins. Considering the increasing number and the emergence of new SGI1/PGI2 variants, further surveillance is needed to prevent the spreading of the MDR genomic islands among Proteus isolates from human and food.  相似文献

We investigated the evolution of the C-terminal 3rd hypervariable region of G gene in the prevalent human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) subgroups A (RSV-A) and B (RSV-B) in Japan in 2008–2011. Phylogenetic analysis and the evolutionary timescale was obtained by the Bayesian Markov Chain Monte Carlo method. All 38 RSV-A strains detected were classified into genotype NA1 and the 17 RSV-B strains detected belonged to genotypes BA and GB2. NA1 subdivided around 1998 in the present phylogenetic tree. Genotype BA subdivided around 1994. The evolutionary rates for RSV-A and RSV-B were estimated at 3.63 × 103 and 4.56 × 103 substitutions/site/year, respectively. The mean evolutionary rate of RSV-B was significantly faster than that of RSV-A during all seasons. The pairwise distance was relatively short (less than 0.06). In addition, some unique sites under positive selection were found. The results suggested that this region of the RSV strains rapidly evolved with some unique amino acid substitutions due to positive pressure.  相似文献

目的 探讨上海市作为特大城市对急性传染病防控的挑战和问题。方法 2019年5月30日上海市发生一起输入性皮肤炭疽疫情,上海市CDC对患者进行流行病学调查及处置,在疫情发生后,上海市CDC收集皮肤炭疽患者相关资料,并对其进行流行病学调查,同时采集患者伤口创面标本和血标本,进行实验室检测。结果 该患者的7份伤口创面标本中,6份炭疽芽胞杆菌核酸检测阳性;双份血清学检测结果显示,炭疽芽胞杆菌抗体滴度增长4倍,上海市CDC对该确诊病例进行流行病学调查并对其接触者进行了观察。经治疗,病例康复,19例接触者无续发病例出现。结论 上海市有必要加强临床医生对新发传染病的培训,对输入性传染病做到早发现、早诊断、早治疗,减少疾病的发病、传播和死亡。同时需要多部门联防联控,预防和控制继发病例的发生。  相似文献

At least 5 serotypes of exogenous simian retrovirus type D (SRV/D) have been found in nonhuman primates, but only SRV-1, 2 and 3 have been completely sequenced. SRV-4 was recovered once from cynomolgus macaques in California in 1984, but its genome sequences are unknown. Here we report the second identification of SRV-4 and its complete genome from infected cynomolgus macaques with Indochinese and Indonesian/Indochinese mixed ancestry. Phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that SRV-4 was distantly related to SRV-1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7. SRV/D-T, a new SRV/D recovered in 2005 from cynomolgus monkeys at Tsukuba Primate Center in Japan, clustered with the SRV-4 isolates from California and Texas and was shown to be another occurrence of SRV-4 infection. The repeated occurrence of SRV-4 in cynomolgus monkeys in different areas of the world and across 25 years suggests that this species is the natural host of SRV-4.  相似文献
